Sara Benabdallah, a Moroccan photographer, captures the essence of Moroccan women and their rich cultural heritage through her evocative lens. After spending nine years in New York, she returned to Marrakesh, driven by a desire to reconnect with her roots and the burgeoning artistic community. Her works, often featuring her grandmother, celebrate the pivotal role of women in Moroccan society. Through projects like “Hayati Diaries” and “Al-Astrulabiya,” Sara sheds light on traditional attire and historical contributions of women, aiming to inspire a new generation of female Moroccan photographers.
